NE.- August 2010 – Report directly to the Global Senior VP of Operations and have all P&L responsibility for this 156 year old division.  Led the Division in setting a new direction that resulted in a step change in the profits and sales of the business. Increased 18%.  Executed a business plan that resulted in a successful transformation and set a new direction for the business with new innovative products Our success resulted in new investment of over $15 million in new Capital projects.  Through the use of LEAN (reducing waste) and Productivity concepts to increase throughput were able to transform four manufacturing sites into a World Class Operation.  We now have focused marketing and sales initiatives that will keep existing business while moving towards new more profitable and growing markets. Promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Bemis Clysar – Oshkosh, Wi. July 2006 – August 2010 Reported directly to the Global Operations Senior VP. I had full P&L responsibility here. This was a reorganization and turnaround issue for the Company. The Division had been purchased from DuPont and was an underperformer due to a number of issues.  Market direction and selling channels were optimized and proven. We were able to quickly get traction and move forward increasing sales by over $20 million a year.  Investment in new infrastructure was realized right along with our sales success. The issue was getting ready for the future growth by investing in those products will grow moving forward. First, long term product, market direction and selling channels were not clear. We were able to clearly define the products that we needed to move forward and gain access to our custom m and therefore the customer Bemis Company, Curwood Division – Oshkosh, WI Oct. 2000 to July 2006 Largest flexible packaging company in the Americas and a major manufacturer of pressure sensitive materials used for labels, decoration, and signage. C & H Packaging Company – Merrill, WI Privately held company with annual revenues over $40 million providing a full line of specialty and protective packaging materials. President- Merrill, WI Aug. 1998 to Sept. 2000 Recruited to turn around failing, asset managed company and prepare it for future sale. Reported directly to the shareholders and Board of Directors while having full charge of P&L and direction of business.  Increased profits 150% annually in less than two years through implementation of lean manufacturing techniques.  Reduced long term debt and improved all ratios, which included boosting ROA by 35%.  Achieved sales increases by narrowing focus on the most profitable markets as well as using unique personal and professional contacts to grow business. W.R. Grace & Co. – Cryovac North America – Chicago, IL Jan. 1979 to Aug. 1998 Premier specialty chemicals and materials company specializing in catalysts, silica, and construction and container products. Director of Sales, Western Region – Chicago, IL Jan. 1996 to Aug. 1998 Held full P&L responsibility for this 100 person, $500 million region. Initiated immediate evaluation of business direction and implemented reorganization; eliminating duplication of efforts and streamlining business.  Grew sales by 16% and profits by 19%.  Boosted market share 10% during general market downturn.  Increased new product sales by over 20%, resulting in $30 million profit growth. Product Line Director, Asian Region – Hong Kong Jan. 1993 to Jan. 1996 Charged with management of all aspects of this region with $100 million in sales in 14 countries, three facilities and over 200 employees.  Spearheaded company’s first joint venture in Asia.
